But it must also deliver a PR message that hopes to change understanding or behaviour in the target audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSometimes in PR, we can lose sight of one aspect for the sake of the other. This is why I \u2013 and I hope others \u2013 will welcome hearing what journalists and editors really value, and celebrating those agricultural PR practitioners who do the job well, balancing the needs of the media against those of their client.\u201d &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adrian&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/agromavens.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Potato-Review-July-2021.pdf\">winning entry<\/a> was a feature article written for Agro Mavens client <a href=\"http:\/\/www.levitycropscience.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Levity Crop Science<\/a>. Appearing in the July 2021 issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.potatoreview.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Potato Review<\/a>, the article examined the importance of boron for successful bulking-up and tuber development in the potato crop. Adrian then sought to inform growers of the benefits accruing from correct use of boron, through the application of &#8216;Damu&#8217;, a &#8216;smart&#8217; fertiliser developed by Levity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather than blind readers with science, Adrian approached the issue using clear and understandable terms. As a result, his article caught the judges&#8217; attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This was a great piece of writing. Science made simple,&#8221; they commented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adrian received his award from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalfoodstrategy.org\/henry-dimbleby-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Henry Dimbleby<\/a>, author of the National Food Strategy.
