Connecterra is a Netherlands-based technology company, innovating in the living world. Ida, an intelligent dairy farm assistant, is the first step in their journey to make global agriculture more productive, humane and sustainable, using sensors and machine learning.

Agro Mavens started working with Connecterra and its founder, Yasir Kokhar, in 2017, after reading about the company and its ambitions in an article from wealth management company Lombard Odier. Early work included the launch of Ida to the agricultural media in North America and Northern Europe. That journalistic awareness-raising campaign – positioning Connecterra as an expert in the emerging dairy-tech sector – prompted Walt Cooley, editor of Progressive Dairyman (US circulation 28,655) to request a guest article on the subject of ‘What AI can and can’t do (yet) for your dairy’.

After discussing and refining the brief with Connecterra, Agro Mavens wrote the 1200-word article under the byline of Saad Ansari, Connecterra’s CTO. Appearing in the August 2018 issue of the magazine, you can read it here.
